The AIROC™ CYW5557x Family from Infineon are Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth 5.2 SoCs that support 2.4/5/6 GHz bands. They are available in 2x2 MIMO or 1x1 SISO configurations and deliver a PHY data rate of up to 1.2 Gbps (Wi-Fi). These SoCs use 20/40/80 MHz Wi-Fi channels and support modulation schemes up to 1024-QAM. They support Bluetooth LE Audio, Long Range and Advertising extensions of Bluetooth and also support direction finding AoA/AoD. These SoCs have built-in advanced Bluetooth/WLAN coexistence and a 2-wire SECI for external coexistence. They support Bluetooth/GPS/LTE radio and can be controlled via PCIe & SDIO interfaces for WLAN and UART, I2S & PCM for Bluetooth.
The AIROC CYW5557x SoCs provide high-quality video/audio streaming and seamless gaming experience in congested network environments and significantly reduce latency by operating in the 6 GHz spectrum. They include enhancements to improve range, power efficiency, network robustness, and security (supports WPA3). These SoCs are highly integrated with an on-chip power management unit, power amplifiers and low-noise amplifiers. They are available in an FCGBA or WLCSP packages and are ideal for gaming, smart speaker, voice Assist system, AR/VR, digital cameras, security systems, industrial gateways and AI-enabled applications.
