The QCA6174A from Qualcomm is a Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth v5.0 SoC that operates at 2.4 and 5 GHz. It integrates a Tensilica CPU with 1216 KB RAM & 448 KB ROM for Wi-Fi, 192 KB RAM, and 672 KB ROM for Bluetooth, along with an integrated RF front-end. This SoC has a 2-antenna configuration for 2x2 MU-MIMO and an Rx sensitivity of up to -96 dBm. It delivers a downlink data rate of up to 620 Mbps and an uplink data rate of up to 600 Mbps. This dual-band SoC supports advanced 802.11ac features such as TX Beamforming to increase network capacity, maximal likelihood (ML) decoding, low-density parity check (LDPC), and maximum ratio combining (MRC) for robust link connection.
The QCA6174A supports Classic Bluetooth as well as Bluetooth Low Energy hub and peripheral devices. It requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and uses advanced power-saving techniques to optimize power consumption across all operating states. This SoC can be controlled via SDIO 3.0 or PCIe 2.1 (WLAN) and S-UART or USB 1.0 (Bluetooth) interfaces. It is available in a WLNSP package that measures 4.89 x 6.02 x 0.57 mm or a WLFC package that measures 4.89 x 6.02 x 0.40 mm. This SoC is ideal for, consumer electronics, OTT/media streaming, mobile, smart assistant/speaker, tablets and home automation applications.
