What are RFID Antennas?
RFID Antennas are connected to RFID Readers which are used to read data from RFID tags. When selecting an RFID antenna it is important to select an antenna that has a frequency which has been authorized for RFID use in the country/continent where it is being used. For example, the FCC is the US agency and the ETSI is the European agency - they have assigned different frequency ranges in the HF, VHF and UHF frequency bands.
Another important factor when selecting an RFID antenna is the polarization. The polarization of an RFID antenna can be linear or circular. Circular polarizations are preferred as they allow the RFID reader to read tags in more allignments when compared to a linearly polarized RFID antenna.
everything RF has created the largest database of searchable RFID antennas. Use the filters to narrow down on antennas from the leading manufacturers that meet your specification. Once you find matching antennas, you can view their specs, download the datasheets and request quotations. Quotation requests will be directed to the manufacturers and their distributors who will get back to you with the details.
