The Vulcan is a distributive (full fan-out) Matrix. With 128 Inputs x 128 Outputs routing in an extremely compact 16U high chassis this matrix gives a high-performance solution to frequency signal routing changes and handling a high volume of downlink feeds.

All active components are hot-swappable - RF cards, CPUs and PSUs. In addition, the Vulcan L-band Matrix has the designed-in resilience provided by dual redundant CPUs and dual redundant PSUs.
