IMS 2013 MicroApps - Parallel Processing Options for EM Simulation

One of the biggest buzzwords in EM simulation today is "parallel processing." What could be simpler than combining a lot of computing power using "the Cloud" or other networking schemes to speed up your EM simulations? Few engineers, however, really understand the realities of parallel processing, or even that there are many different kinds. This presentation will survey some of the concepts, issues, and potential problems in making parallel computing for EM a practical, robust, design tool.
