The Warehouse is The Heart of Any Supply Chain– Learn How RAIN RFID Makes it More Powerful
This session discusses the rise in parcel shipments which is mainly driven by the trend for online shopping, and is now accelerating due to the impacts of COVID-19. Supply chains and warehouse logistics need to become smarter in order to handle the increasing volume of parcels efficiently. Discover how RAIN RFID technology can help to make parcel handling faster, more cost-efficient and less prone to errors.
Speaker: James Goodland, RAIN RFID Solutions Manager, NXP Semiconductors

Targeting the Correct RFID/IoT Technology for the Right Project
This session will present proven methods used to discover profitable challenges that can be addressed with RFID, and specific tools for selecting the proper technology for your specific project. Wisely selecting the correct RFID candidate projects and the proper technology will help your organization minimize its investment, while improving supply chain efficiency more quickly.
Speakers: Ygal Bendavid, Director of the IoT Lab, and Professor in the Department of Analytics, Operations & IT (AOTI)/School of Management (ESG) at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM); Yasmina Maïzi, Professor at the School of Management (ESG), Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).

End-to-End Supply Chain Visibility
Recent innovations enhance the ability of passive RFID to play a crucial role in improving supply chain performance. Using RFID alone or in combination with other edge technologies allows warehouse, distribution center, cross-dock and manufacturing plant operations to leverage real-time location of tagged inventory and assets over a wide area of a facility to automatically track materials and assets through the supply chain from end to end, as well as locate the presence of people in targeted areas to optimize time and assign tasks. In this session, we’ll discuss these capabilities, the best time and conditions to apply them and how they can be applied to raise performance, increase inventory control, and reduce costs.
Speaker: Mark Wheeler, Director of Supply Chain Solutions, Zebra Technologies

Building Your RFID Business Case
RFID can provide several advantages over existing automated-identification technologies within supply-chain and inventory-management process. In order to build a realistic business case and justify your investment both qualitatively and quantifiably, you will need to accurately evaluate RFID's marginal impact and benefits over existing technologies. This session will help you understand how to measure the technology's impact on your supply chain process performance, by using specific key performance indicators. In addition, the presenters will explain how to document an RFID business case within your four walls, and throughout your supply chain.
Speakers: Ygal Bendavid, Director of the IoT Lab, and Professor in the Department of Analytics, Operations & IT (AOTI)/School of Management (ESG) at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), Yasmina Maïzi, Professor, School of Management (ESG) - Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).
