mmWave Technology Will Never be a Mainstream Strategy

In a recent GSMA Intelligence poll of industry professionals, 80% said that they did not expect mmWave 5G to be a mainstream consumer proposition over the next two years.

For many in the industry, this might seem shocking particularly given the number of markets where spectrum has been allocated, not to mention the arrival of an iPhone with mmWave support. For others, however, this simply reflects the current (nascent) state of the technology and the questions surrounding it.
