RFID Basics | Parts of an RFID System

RFID Basics | Parts of an RFID System RFID or Radio Frequency Identification is a technology that allows objects to be wirelessly identified using data transmitted via radio waves. In order to identify objects, first you must have an RFID system - typically made up of an RFID Reader, Antenna, Cable, and RFID Tags. An RFID Reader connects to the antenna via a coaxial cable and then readers the data on the RFID tags that have been attached to objects.
