Webinar Overview

Why this webcast is important: As the wireless industry prepares for new 5G wireless technologies to meet aggressive data transfer speeds as much as 10 Gbps, new air interfaces are being developed to operate in the mmWave spectrum. These new mmWave air interfaces are not well understood and need comprehensive characterization using channel sounding analysis. This webinar describes different channel sounding approaches along with the key requirements and test challenges. We will show a typical test set up of a mmWave MIMO channel sounding solution that addresses the major technical challenges that we foresee in 5G, as well meeting the main measurement requirements of:

  • mmWave frequency band
  • Ultra-broad bandwidth
  • Massive MIMO

A look at considerations on how to best address these measurement requirements as well as methods for addressing calibration, synchronization, and real time data processing challenges are described.

Who should view:

  • Those interested in characterizing 5G Wireless interfaces
  • 5G Wireless Design Engineers
  • Engineers and Managers interested in 5G Signal characterization
