Webinar Overview

The performance of microwave and millimeter-wave antennas plays a key role in the application areas of 5G, the internet of things (IoT), and satellite communication. The evaluation of such devices before fabrication and testing through electromagnetics simulation helps shorten the development cycle and time to market.

In this presentation, you will get a demonstration in the COMSOL Multiphysics® software of how to model a variety of antenna devices, such as:

  • Printed dipole antennas
  • Microstrip patch antennas
  • 4x2 slot-coupled microstrip patch antenna arrays
  • 8x4 phased antenna arrays

We will go over choosing physics, proper boundary conditions, and material properties followed by solving and postprocessing. We will also discuss how to simplify numerically complicated RF simulations using efficient modeling techniques.
