Design Suite Provides Advanced Technology for Analog and RFIC Design

Over the past 20 years, EDA tools have evolved pri-marily as isolated activi-ties for each phase of a design. Legacy systems separated the electrical design and analysis from the physical implementa-tion at the IC, package, module and printed circuit board (PCB) levels. EDA vendors have developed closed method-ologies and tool sets for different portions of the design process, requiring manual hand-offs and multiple iteration loops that result in costly errors and delays. The complexity of today’s new semiconductor process technolo-gies, as well as module implementation tech-nologies, however, renders these traditional design methods inadequate in terms of accu-racy, efficiency and cost.
