Practical Estimation of Losses in Tee Network Antenna Tuning Units

Tee matching net-works are widely used in antenna tuning units (ATUs) used by radio communicators in the MF (0.3 to 3.0 MHz) through UHF (0.3 to 3.0 GHz) spectrum.This article describes a computer software tool for estimating the power losses of such networks in general impedance matching applications. The mathe-matical basis for the program is reviewed, and the results of several illustrative case studies are reported.
