Preventative Maintenance of Wireless Infrastructure with a PC-Driven VNA

Traditional network analyzers are large, heavy, and intended for use in indoor engineering laboratories or production environments. For field use, a network analyser must overcome several limitations of traditional instruments. The VNA should be compact and lightweight, as space is limited. The instrument must also be quick to start up and begin taking accurate measurements and, ideally, recall preset test configurations to save time. Customers typically require detailed documentation following each preventative maintenance (PM) cycle, so extracting measurement results from the VNA is vital for reporting. Finally, the VNA must be programmable, so a predefined set of test results can be automatically collected and consistently saved.
