In Japan, for the commercialization of 5G, a new frequency band of 3.7 GHz and 4.5GHz called sub6 was allocated, along with millimeter wave in the 28 GHz band with a wide bandwidth of 400 MHz per operator. In addition, the 28 GHz band is also allocated to local 5G for spot use in limited areas by entities such as local companies and local governments, along with the 4.7 GHz band.. Even in the international standardization of3GPP, standard specifications supporting millimeter wave was included from the initial specifications of 5G.
