Anokiwave Exhibits its mm-Wave 5G Silicon ICs for Radar and SATCOM Applications

Anokiwave, a fabless semiconductor company that provides highly integrated silicon core IC solutions and silicon front ends for mmW markets, is showcasing its product portfolio at the virtual International Microwave Symposium (IMS) 2020, from 4 - 6 August. This year the company introduced its dual-polarized mmW 5G silicon beamformer and IF converter ICs for 5G, RADAR, and SATCOM applications.

Anokiwave’s silicon ICs for 5G cover the RF signal chain, with emphasis on mmWave frequencies. Devices include beamforming ICs that drive phased-array antennas, transmit and receive up/down converters, and intelligent gain blocks. Frequency bands include 24.75 GHz to 27.5 GHz, 26.5 GHz to 29.5 GHz, and 37.1 GHz to 40.0 GHz.

Anokiwave says that its 5G portfolio supports everything from macro-cells to small-cells to customer premises equipment (CPE) in the mmWave frequencies that are now in play: the existing 28 GHz and 39 GHz bands; the 24/26 GHz band; and the 37/39GHz bands. The 5G Gen-3 family features full RF signal chain functionality that improves performance, reduces cost, and provides digital functionality that simplifies the active antenna array design.

Anokiwave’s Silicon ICs continue to offer OEMs and Radio manufacturers key advantages:
  • Fastest time-to-market for mmW 5G radios
  • One platform solution for n258, n257/261, and n260 bands
  • Proven performance in field-deployed 5G radios in volume
  • Lowest total cost leveraging 300mm CMOS
  • Eliminate array calibration with patented ZERO-CALTM
  • Advanced features for lower power dissipation and remote monitoring
