Ampleon Introduces 800 W Asymmetric Doherty Power Transistor for Base Stations from 600 to 1000 MHz

Ampleon, a company that consists of an innovative, yet consistent portfolio of products and solutions for a wide range of applications, such as mobile broadband infrastructure, radio & TV broadcasting, has introduced the C4H10P800A, an asymmetric Doherty RF power transistor. It is designed to deliver high power to base stations and multi-carrier systems operating over the frequency range from 600 to 1000 MHz.

This transistor delivers an output power of 800 W (at 5 dB compression) with a power gain of 18.3 dB and a drain efficiency of 61.1%. It offers an adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) of -22.9 dBc to enable better communication across base stations and mobile devices. This Doherty transistor requires a DC supply and consumes 100 mA of current during operation.

The C4H10P800A not only achieves high efficiency but also maintains excellent digital pre-distortion. It has lower output capacitance for improved performance in Doherty applications employed in cellular systems.
