Gilat Introduces Advanced Single Carrier Per Channel Mode to Boost Satellite Modem Performance

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd., a worldwide leader in satellite networking technology, solutions, and services, announced today that their next-generation SkyEdge IV Aquarius modem now supports SCPC mode. The SkyEdge IV Aquarius Pro modem offers ultra-high performance over next-generation VHTS GEO and NGSO constellations. It is the ideal solution for ultra-high throughput trunks, up to 750Mbps per direction, for a wide range of fixed and mobility applications including broadband, 4G and 5G backhauling, commercial maritime and cruise ships, and corporate enterprise services.

As part of a SkyEdge IV Network, the SkyEdge IV Aquarius Pro SCPC mode is designed to provide uninterrupted service, supporting next-generation software-defined satellites. It enables seamless operation, “make before break” NGSO satellites handover, switching between GEO and NGSO or between different GEO satellites.
