Averna Releases New Generation of RF Studio Software for Easy Workflow and Efficient Workload Management

Averna, a leading global test & quality solutions provider, has announced the release of the newest generation of RF Studio; their powerful RF record-and-playback software for capturing the real-world RF spectrum, including GNSS location data, radio, video and connectivity.

Moving forward, AST-1000 and RP-6500 users can leverage the same powerful record and playback features in a more intuitive environment. In addition to the simplified GUI, they can now remotely control their hardware and share the unit within their team. This delivers even better results than before and a higher return on investment.

“We’re particularly excited to announce the latest version of RF Studio because all the changes are entirely based on our customers’ feedback.” explains Erik Jetté, Product Line Manager. “If you’re doing traditional field testing of RF receivers, it becomes extremely time-consuming and costly. We wanted to deliver a solution that was designed to fit exactly what our customers were looking for.”

With RF Studio, users can capture hours of real-world RF to accurately and consistently validate receiver design changes in the lab, accelerating product-development and test schedules. This saves the high costs and inconveniences of repeated trips to the field. Additionally, environmental conditions, satellite positions, solar events and general interference create huge variables and are almost impossible to accurately reproduce. RF Studio removes the variability to build better receivers overall. This information is displayed through noise figure, spectrum, power, and histogram views.

The latest version of RF Studio is available with the AST-1000 and RP-6500. Current customers can upgrade for free with a valid support contract.
