Antenom to Showcase Modular Antenna & Microwave Training and Prototyping Kits at EuMW 2024

Antenom Antenna Technologies continues to push the boundaries of antenna design and training with its latest Horn Antenna Kit, capable of operating at frequencies up to 20 GHz. They also offer the Anten’it Antenna Training Kit and Microwave Training Kit for antenna prototyping. The company will showcase these new products at EuMW 2024, booth 001B in Paris.

20 GHz Horn Antenna Kit

The Horn Antenna Kit includes more than 50 different horn antennas working between 1.7 GHz to 20 GHz in a box and the capability to easily change the gain and other electromagnetic parameters. It enables users to create custom antenna designs using Anten'it’s modular blocks. These blocks are designed for use up to 7.5 GHz, while specialized curved blocks allow operation up to 20 GHz, offering a flexible solution that eliminates the need to purchase multiple antennas for varying gains. With a single antenna structure, users can swap out different apertures to achieve different gain values.

The adapter section of the antenna, which houses the connector, is also built from Anten'it blocks. For frequencies up to 7.5 GHz, the aperture is formed using standard blocks, while curved blocks are employed for higher-frequency configurations.

Included in the kit are detailed resources such as datasheets, assembly guides, 3D CAD files for use in simulation tools, and pre-built models for CST Studio and Empire XPU. These resources cover about 50 different antenna configurations, providing comprehensive data on parameters like S11 reflection coefficients, antenna gain, antenna factor, front-to-back ratios, and radiation patterns in both the E and H planes. This means users can easily reference the datasheets to choose an antenna design that fits their project needs, and then follow the instructions to build it. Instead of buying separate antennas for 10 dBi, 15 dBi, or 20 dBi gains, users can simply adjust the aperture size with additional blocks. Switching to a new frequency band requires only a quick reassembly with the appropriate blocks.

Antenom is also developing a higher-frequency version of the Horn Antenna Kit, extending the operating range up to 40 GHz. Users who already own the 20 GHz version can easily upgrade by adding the necessary components of the higher-frequency kit at any time.

Anten’it Antenna And Microwave Training Kits

Unlike conventional training kits, Anten'it’s block-based design kits empower students to create their own antennas and microwave components within the limited timeframe of laboratory sessions. These kits are also ideal for research purposes, enabling rapid design, testing, and iteration. The Anten’it Antenna Training Kit and Microwave Training Kit allow students to prototype their own designs, measure results, and refine them as needed.

Antenom’s senior staff will be available at EuMW 2024 to discuss how their solutions can support customers’ antenna and microwave prototyping and training needs. A meeting needs to be scheduled with an Antenom representative for this.

For R&D teams, quickly testing ideas is critical to assessing whether they suit the intended application. Anten’it’s reusable block-based approach reduces time and costs, offering a practical way to build and experiment with microwave components and antennas. As the only antenna prototyping tool available on the market, Anten’it provides a unique advantage.

Each kit includes a comprehensive datasheet booklet and detailed assembly instructions, making it easy for designers and researchers to utilize the products. Much like selecting a standard component, researchers can choose the appropriate antenna or microwave component for their project, follow the provided instructions, and assemble it.
