BeRex Introduces New High-Performance SPDT RF Switch for Automotive Applications

BeRex Corporation has introduced its latest innovation in automotive RF technology, the BSW7221V. This high-power reflective SPDT RF switch has been AEC-Q100 qualified, underscoring its suitability for the rigorous demands of automotive applications. It operates from 5 to 8500 MHz and is designed to perform flawlessly across a broad temperature range from -40 to +105 Degrees (Grade 2). Its broadband performance and high linearity stand out in the market, with an Input P1dB of 37 dBm at 2.45 GHz. BeRex’s proprietary technology contributes to its low insertion loss of 0.37 dB and high isolation of 44 dB at 2.45 GHz, alongside a robust Input IP3 of 65 dBm.

The BSW7221V is engineered for high performance with features including exceptional isolation, high linearity, minimal insertion loss, and rapid switching speeds of 90 to 135ns. It requires a single supply voltage from 2.7 - 3.6 V. This switch is an ideal component for various wireless switching applications in V2X, UWB, RKE, WLNA, Bluetooth, and ISM systems.

Housed in a compact 6-lead, 1.5mm x 1.5mm UDFN package, the BSW7221V boasts an ESD rating of 2000V (HBM) and does not require external DC blocking capacitors, enhancing its ease of integration into automotive systems.
