CML Micro has expanded its SµRF range with the release of the CMX90A006, a 2W power amplifier designed for sub-GHz applications in wireless transmitters. This amplifier promises to enhance the performance and reliability of ultra-high frequency (UHF) systems, targeting industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) and short-range device (SRD) bands.
The CMX90A006 is optimized for the 868 MHz (SRD) and 915 MHz (ISM) bands, delivering an impressive +33 dBm output power at 1 dB gain compression across a broad 860 to 930 MHz frequency range. This makes it a versatile solution for various license-free band applications, such as UHF RFID readers, smart metering technologies, and IoT wireless devices.
Engineered for reliability and linear performance, the CMX90A006 leverages indium gallium phosphide (InGaP) heterojunction bipolar transistor (HBT) technology. It offers a power-added efficiency (PAE) of 52%, a small signal gain of 33 dB, and a third-order intercept (OIP3) of +42 dBm at 26 dBm per tone. This combination makes it ideal for systems requiring high power efficiency and low signal distortion.
