UMS Introduces 3-Stage GaAs Power Amplifier from 17 to 22 GHz for Space & Telecom Applications

United Monolithic Semiconductors (UMS) has introduced the CHA4262-QDG, a 3-stage GaAs Medium Power Amplifier (PA) that operates from 17 to 22 GHz. This amplifier is dedicated to space applications and well-suited for a wide range of telecommunication systems. It delivers an output power of up to 23 dBm with a linear small signal gain of 26 dB and a power-added efficiency (PAE) of 37%.

This power amplifier has been manufactured using GaAs monolithic technology. The CHA4262-QDG is internally matched to 50 Ohms at the input and output ports, thereby ensuring greater output performance. It has a drain voltage of 3.5 V and consumes less than 200 mA of current. It is available in a plastic QFN package that measures 4 x 4 mm.

This medium power amplifier complies with RoHS standards.
