KRYTAR, Inc., a leader in the design and production of ultra-broadband microwave components and test equipment announces a new Directional Coupler operating in the wideband frequency range of 0.5 to 26.5 GHz (L- through K-Bands) offering Nominal Coupling of 30 dB. The new coupler offers solutions for emerging designs and test and measurement applications including wireless communications, radar and satellite communications (SATCOM).
The Model 152630 offers excellent performance ratings with a Nominal Coupling of 30 dB, ±1.8 dB and frequency sensitivity is ±1.8 dB. The directional coupler has an Insertion Loss (including coupled power) of less than 1.0 dB, Directivity of >10 dB, and maximum VSWR is 1.45:1 at any port.
Additional features for Model 152630 include an Input Power Rating of 20 W average and a 3 kW peak. The directional coupler comes with industry-standard SMA female connectors. The compact package measures just 4.40 inches (L) x 0.38 inches (W) x 0.73 inches (H), and weighs only 2.3 ounces. The operating temperature is -54° to +85° C.
KRYTAR Directional Couplers are designed for systems applications where external leveling, precise monitoring, signal mixing, or swept transmission and reflection measurements are required. KRYTAR couplers offer solutions for many ultra-broadband applications including electronic warfare (EW), mmWave, 5G NR (New Radio), Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E, SATCOM, radar, MIMO (Multiple-Input and Multiple-Output) radio links, signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beamforming, and EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) testing environments. Many KRYTAR products can meet the rigorous demands of both space and thermal vacuum applications.
