MACOM Technology has introduced the MAAP-011232, a 2-stage, 1 Watt driver amplifier featuring gain shut off that operates from 100 MHz to 3 GHz. This device is suited for both driver and power requirements across a broad range of applications, including land-mobile-radio, military communications, sensors, telemetry, test and measurement and satellite communications.
It features a typical gain of 23 dB and up 40% power added efficiency. This device can be operated between 5V to 9V and consumes less than 300 mA at maximum output power of 1 Watt. It is fully matched while operating in the 100 MHz to 1 GHz frequency range and can be tuned with input matched to perform up to 3 GHz and is offered in a 3mm 16 lead PQFN plastic package.
It has been designed to offer customers excellent power and drive performance over a broad frequency range. The high gain and enable function can replace the need for additional gain blocks and/or attenuators in customers’ systems, which makes the device an ideal candidate for applications that require a small footprint and surface-mount solution.
MACOM will be featuring this product its MMIC portfolio at IMS, Booth #939, May 22nd-27th in San Francisco, California.
