IEEE WAMICON Announces 2017 Conference Venue and Technical Program Focus

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) announced that the 18th Wireless and Microwave Technology Conference (WAMICON) annual event will take place in Cocoa Beach Florida from April 24-25, 2017. The conference, which will focus on power amplifiers, semiconductors and software for 5G wireless communications and the Internet of Things (IoT).

WAMICON 2017 will address up-to-date multidisciplinary research needs and interdisciplinary aspects of high efficiency power amplifiers, linearization enhancement techniques, and device modeling. The technical track includes various microwave applications, including wireless sensing, energy harvesting, radar, and nano devices/circuits. The program includes both oral and poster presentations as well as tutorials and special sessions.

As wireless and microwave technologies continue to grow in importance in our everyday lives, engineers make advancements in segments, such as 5G and IoT to find ways to increase data rates and efficiency. WAMICON pulls together great minds in a setting that promotes the exchange of ideas and offers networking opportunities. Exhibitors at the conference will have the opportunity to showcase new products and take part in the technical sessions that are planned during the week.

WAMICON will return to Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront on Florida’s space coast. A block of rooms has been secured at a discounted rate, inviting attendees to enjoy the conference at a four-star hotel.
