Rohde & Schwarz to Showcase its Latest EMC Portfolio at EMV 2017

Rohde & Schwarz will demonstrate its expertise in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) measurements at the EMV 2017 international trade fair in Stuttgart later this month. The test solutions on display will include new Radio Equipment Directive (RED) and FCC certification tests along with its huge portfolio of compliance and pre-compliance test receivers, highly sophisticated, harmonized system solutions, analysis software and broadband amplifiers. The event will take place from March 28 to 30, 2017 at Stuttgart Trade Fair (Messe Stuttgart), Germany.

A special focus this year will be on the Radio Equipment Directive (RED), the new certification guideline for radio equipment in Europe. Rohde & Schwarz will be showcasing the new R&S TS8997, based on the new guidelines. The test system can now additionally perform certification tests, including receiver tests, in line with the new ETSI EN 301 893 and EN 300 328 standards for wireless devices in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band, and including DFS tests in line with FCC §15.247 and §15.407. They will be demonstrating live test solutions for car radios and broadcast receivers in line with the new RED for digital TV broadcast receivers (EN 303 340), radio receivers (EN 303 345) and indoor satellite broadcast receiver equipment (EN 303 372-2) at the event.

The new R&S EMC32 EMC software which now offers a new option for EMC measurements of radio and TV receivers in line with CISPR35 and a new test sequencer option in line with CISPR35 will also be demonstrated at the event. Rohde & Schwarz will also present the standardized R&S CEMS100 test platform, a flexible, reliable and cost-effective off-the-shelf solution for radiated EMS measurements in line with IEC/EN 61000-4-3 as well as its video-based R&S AdVISE DUT monitoring solution for fully automated EMI testing.

They will also showcase the ESR and ESW EMI test receivers support emission measurements with high measurement speeds and extensive diagnostic tools for standard-compliant EMC certifications in line with CISPR, EN, FCC and MIL. Developed specifically for automotive applications and FCC-compliant measurements, external mixers can now extend the frequency range of the R&S ESW up to 500 GHz. Also at display will be the new 6 GHz model of the extremely powerful R&S RTO2000 lab oscilloscope series.
