Computer Simulation Technology (CST), part of SIMULIA, a Dassault Systèmes brand is set to host the CST Modeling Challenge at the European Microwave Week (EuMW) 2017. In the challenge, entrants will have to design and simulate a waveguide filter, after which all successful participants will be entered into a prize draw.
The competition will use CST STUDIO SUITE Student Edition, a free version of CST’s industry-leading simulation software to help students study Maxwell’s equations and get experience with real state of-the-art tools. The challenge will be to model a simple iris waveguide filter, simulate it, and adjust the iris opening in order to tune the filter to the desired frequency.
The competition is open to both simulation users and those without past experience of EM simulation and CST STUDIO SUITE. CST staff will be on hand to help beginners get started on the software. All successful participants will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win. The draw will be held at the CST booth on October 11.
The CST Modeling Challenge gives students and engineers unfamiliar with EM simulation the chance to experience it first hand and learn about EM simulation from experts in the field.
