The SATELLITE 2020 Conference & Exhibition is the largest event for the Satellite Industry. It brings together aerospace experts, entrepreneurs, executives, engineers, end-users, and enthusiasts every year in Washington DC. The event plays a critical role in determining how satellites will shape the future of our world and welcomes a community of aerospace professionals from every market and field of study, hailing from more than 150 nations around the world. In 2020 the event will be held from 9 to 12 March at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.
According to the Satellite Industry Association’s 2019 State of the Satellite Industry report, revenues in satellite manufacturing, ground equipment, and satellite launch services all had positive growth rates, and the global space economy grew 3% in 2018. The SATELLITE show’s mission is to support and sustain this growth by connecting the buyers and suppliers to each other, and to the innovation and insight, they need to succeed.
For 39 years, SATELLITE has been the go-to event for big industry announcements, upcoming trends in ground systems and space technology, finding and cultivating new partnerships, and reconnecting with colleagues. Every year the show finds new ways to provide a global forum for education, collaboration, business and inspiration, and 2020 will be no exception.
The exhibition will take place from 10 to 12 March, with over three hundred companies that include Airbus, Ball Aerospace, Boeing, Hughes an Echostar Company, NASA, Northrop Grumman, Peraton, Rohde & Schwarz, and Speedcast.
New features for the SATELLITE 2020 show include:
- Conference content grouped by focus and packaged into tracks, with associated passes, making it easier to experience the conference.
- Four uniquely themed engagement stations on the show floor will foster an immersive and organic networking experience for attendees.
- Matchmaking program to help navigate and connect with the 15,000+ attendees, exhibitors, and speakers.
- Interactive formats and features integrated into the panels encouraging audience participation.
New initiatives will be launched this year, like grouping THE conference passes by content focus to better highlight business and technology updates, investment in the industry and a look into innovative applications and services being driven by customers, as well as introducing a matchmaking program to encourage more engagement on both the show floor and in the conference rooms.
The primary motive is to provide the participants with good experience, where they can meet exactly who they want, attend only the sessions they’ll find value in, and also provide a platform to contribute their own perspectives and ideas to the benefit of everyone at the SATELLITE week. The conference agenda will be announced within the month, but topics to look forward to include smallsats, antennas, constellations, IoT/M2M, cloud computing, interference & network security, and an industry five-year forecast.
Registration is now open, attendees can register at www.SATShow.com.
