Elon Musk to Speak at the SATELLITE 2020 Keynote

The SATELLITE Conference and Exhibition has announced that Elon Musk, Founder and Chief Engineer of SpaceX, will speak at the SATELLITE 2020 conference on Monday, March 9 at 4:00 pm EST at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C.

Musk appeared at SATELLITE in 2009, just after SpaceX was awarded the multibillion-dollar NASA Commercial Resupply Services program contract to send supplies to the International Space Station (ISS) on its Dragon capsule. SpaceX has set industry records with its Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets, and unveiled a massive new rocket called Starship, a large, long-duration spacecraft capable of carrying passengers or cargo to Earth orbit, planetary destinations, and between destinations on Earth.

Musk founded SpaceX in 2002 and joined the electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla as its CEO and product architect in 2004. He has also founded or co-founded SolarCity, OpenAI, Neuralink, and The Boring Company, which is constructing mass transit tunnels in California.

Elon Musk is arguably the most disruptive figure in the history of the satellite industry, revolutionizing rocket science and opening up access to space for the entire world. He joins an already impressive line-up of speakers on the 2020 program including Lt. Gen. David Thompson, Vice Commander, Air Force Space Command, United States Air Force; Derek Tournear, Director, Space Development Agency; Grant Gertz, producer of the video game Kerbal Space Program, and many more.

SATELLITE 2020 will be held from 9th to 12th March 2020 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
