Antenna Measurement in Compact Ranges

Compact Ranges represent a standard in fast and real-time satellite antenna and RCS measurement. For different applications and requirements different types of test facilities exist.

In this paper, the existing compact range principles and types of test facilities will be discussed. The resulting measurement accuracy of state-of-the-art test facilities will be given. Subsequent, the CCRs of Astrium GmbH will be described. At last, the mainly important measurement applications for antenna and satellite payload testing will be explained.
