5G for Connected Industries and Automation
This white paper, provides an overview of 5G’s basic potential for manufacturing industry, and outline relevant use cases and requirements. Furthermore, it introduces some of the main building blocks of 5G and certain major challenges that have not yet been resolved. Finally, the 5G-ACIA (5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation) is presented in more detail as an important initiative to ensure that 5G for the industrial domain is ultimately successful.
