Analysis of Nonlinear Active Devices
Power added efficiency (PAE) is an important concern for all communication power devices. Power efficiency provides the highest power output possible while maintaining good battery life for mobile devices. Amplifiers operating in a compressed nonlinear state (e.g. Class C, Class F, Class S, Doherty amplifiers, etc.) offer high power efficiency ratings reaching PAE levels of 80% or higher.
