What frequency bands have been allocated to 5G in Portugal?
Portugal’s National Communications Authority ANACOM (Autoridade Nacional de Comunicacoes), on 30th December, 2019 approved the auction of the 700 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2600 MHz and 3.6 GHz (n78) bands for 5G deployment.

The auction was initially expected to be conducted between March and June in 2020 but got delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Three leading telecom operators in Portugal namely Altice Portugal, Vodafone Portugal and NOS, will take part in the auction and are expected to launch 5G services by the end of 2020.
