What are NMD Connectors?

NMD stands for Network Measurements Division - this is an outdated term used by the HP division that created the Agilent 8510A and 8720A analyzers. NMD connectors are usually available as 3.5mm, 2.9mm, 2.4mm, and 1.85mm connectors. They are ruggedized test-port connectors used on test sets and network analyzers. NMD connectors have a large threaded body that has been specially designed to stabalize the test port cable when attached to the front of the test set or VNA.
