The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) that manages the Qi specification has raised the maximum charging power from 5W to 15W. This 15 Watt power profile is called Qi Extended Power Profile. It enables devices to charge 3x faster as compared to the conventional Qi 5 Watt power profile.
