The MILSAT Symposium 2022 will be part of the Silicon Valley Space Week at Mountain View (California, USA), from 13-14 October 2022. The event is a subset of the Silicon Valley Space Week (SVSW) and will foster new channels of communication between national space defense and industry. As older techniques of contracting the development of custom-made satellites, sensors, ground equipment, and software have become largely obsolete, the necessity for open communication between DoD and industry has never been greater. This motivates the MILSAT symposium to focus on connecting leaders from the commercial space industry to defense decision-makers. The event includes sessions, keynotes, and technical talks to explore the most effective and rapid solutions in development for defending and expanding critical space assets. The sessions will also examine the financial, technical, and logistical hurdles faced by the space force, space command, and commercial suppliers.
