More than 80 percent of mobile communication data traffic today comes from within buildings. Mobile network coverage in buildings tends to be much weaker behind concrete and glass facades. Often, mobile phone signals cannot penetrate large buildings and thus result in bad connections. Spinner, a leading provider of innovative standard products and customized solutions, has recently launched a passive in-building system that ensures excellent cellular connections in large building complexes with minimal operating costs.
The new multi-band combining system is a 19” Rack or Wall mount system that can be used for a wide range of applications including 5G or IoT. The BN 572690 system can combine up to four mobile providers with five bands each at the device’s inputs.
Features of Spinner’s Multiband Combining System:
5G with up to 3800 MHz
Conventional equipment processes frequencies between 694 and 2700 MHz. This corresponds to the cellular bands that have been standard up until now. The new Spinner multiband combining system covers frequency bands from 694 to 3800 MHz (this wider frequency range also supports 5G applications). Once installed, these devices maximize flexibility―and save the customers costly, labour-intensive conversion projects.
Uncompromisingly More Bandwidth
Processing more frequency bands typically come at the cost of compromised transmission quality. But not with the new Spinner shelf. It has excellent isolation, reflection, and passive intermodulation values. It has a high isolation value of more than 30 dB which goes a long way toward preventing frequencies from interfering with one another. This means that users can enjoy greater bandwidth for a better overall experience. This enables buildings to maximize the number of users while minimizing costs.
The Internet of Things (IoT) Also Integrated
Over the last few years the number of devices connected to the internet has exceeded the number of people connected to the internet. More and more devices now send data to servers worldwide via cellular networks. They do this for all sorts of purposes, from invoicing heating systems to sanity checks for intrusion detection systems. Spinner systems support the use of IoT Technologies. They have already demonstrated their abilities in practice with the Sigfox transmission protocol and various other IoT Technologies.
