American Microwave Corporation, an Ironwave Technologies Company, has released a new line of SP65T solid-state switches with exceptional insertion loss. The innovative design is a single pole/25 throw hermetically sealed switch using a combination of suspended and stripline substrates and a switch control configuration via encoded 5-bit TTL inputs latched by the use of a dual-rail strobe. The exist switch configuration can be customized up to 65 throws.
Key Specifications of the Solid State Switch:
- Frequency: 0.5 GHz to 40 GHz
- Insertion Loss: <7 dB up to 18 GHz and <10 dB up to 40 GHz
- Isolation: 65 dB minimum
- Switching speed: <500 ns
- Input/output VSWR: 2.0:1
- Power supply: +5 VDC @ 220mA max/-12 VDC @ 45mA max
The design maintains the basic specifications up to 40 GHz and 65 throw. Using a modular design AMC can rapidly and cost-effectively modify the design for specific ELINT, EW, or satellite ground station needs and delivers in 60-90 days.
AMC has an extensive line of Switch Matrices, DVLAs, Power Dividers, Attenuators, and is constantly evolving the technology to support military applications.
Ironwave Technologies LLC develops technologies and solutions in the radio frequency (RF) and microwave (MW) space primarily in defense communications, telemetry, electronic warfare, and surveillance. They acquired American Microwave Corp in October 2019.
