Steatite Q-par Antennas has announced the release of an ultra-small, multi-octave spiral antenna that operates from 1 GHz to 18 GHz. The antenna is circularly polarized for left and right hand, making it suitable for applications where space and gain requirements are at a premium. The wideband antenna, QSP-RC-1-18-S-SG-R has a gain of 7dBi, a VSWR under 2.5:1 and can handle up to 2 W CW of power. With a diameter of 78 mm, it is available with SMA connectors and is ideal for satisfying challenging applications which includes ELINT & COMINT Systems, Radar Warning Receivers Systems, and Spectrum Management Antenna Arrays.
The antenna has been designed to meet growing customer demand and is a welcome competitive addition to Steatite’s extensive planar antennas offering which includes a COTS family of wideband Sinuous and Spiral microwave antenna products covering 0.5 to 42 GHz bandwidth.
