New VCO Product Line Targets Wireless Backhaul Networks

ANADIGICS has introduced a new product family of voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs). These new VCO's enable point-to-point wireless backhaul networks to provide reliable access to high-speed data and voice services without fiber optic infrastructure connectivity.  According to a recent report by iGR, the North American market for wireless backhaul metrocells is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 146% over the next five years. ANADIGICS has leveraged its advanced design capabilities and unique wafer process technologies to develop this VCO family that offers outstanding output power and phase noise performance at the industry’s highest order quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM).

These new voltage-controlled oscillators utilize the Company’s leading HBT process to deliver outstanding phase noise and output power. They feature integrated divide-by-2 and divide-by-4 with internal resonators. This level of performance and integration is offered in a compact 5 mm by 5 mm, 32-lead package with an industry-standard pinout.
