Modelithics, a developer of high-accuracy RF and microwave active & passive simulation models for use in EDA tools has announced the Modelithics System Components Library for Keysight’s PathWave System Design software. This library includes models for system-level components like amplifiers, filters, attenuators, couplers, and packages. Models are available for components from a wide range of manufacturers, including Barry, IMS, Kyocera AVX, Mini-Circuits, Murata, and Qorvo. In total, the current System Components Library offering contains over 160 models.
The System Components Library provides designers with both nonlinear and S-parameter models for various amplifiers that are available today. Models are also offered for lowpass, highpass, and bandpass filters validated to frequencies as high as 40 GHz. Also offered are models for attenuators validated to frequencies as high as 50 GHz and spanning attenuation levels from 0 to 30 dB.
Combining Keysight’s PathWave System Design with the Modelithics System Components Library makes it possible for designers to predict system performance in the presence of real-world modulate signals and environmental effects like interference. System designers can easily connect baseband, RF, and antenna models to create a ‘digital twin’ of their communications or radar system. The System Components Library is also available for Keysight’s PathWave Advanced Design System (ADS).
