Rohde & Schwarz will present numerous solutions and portfolios at EMV Stuttgart 2015. The company will showcase its R&S TS8997 test system, which now performs automated R&TTE measurements for compliance tests in line with the new ETSI EN 301 893 v1.7.1 standard for wireless devices in the 5 GHz band. The test system also supports measurements in line with ETSI EN 300 328 in the 2.4 GHz band. The tried and tested R&S EMC32 EMC measurement software features innovations as well. The R&S EMC32-K48 option allows users to carry out shielding effectiveness measurements in accordance with international standards. The R&S EMC32-K84 option enables individual MS Word test reports. The test receivers of the R&S ESR series perform disturbance measurements for standard compliant EMC certifications in just a few seconds in the frequency ranges from 9 kHz to 3.6 GHz/7 GHz/26.5 GHz. In addition to delivering fast measurements, the instruments also offer a wide range of diagnostic tools for EMI analysis. The R&S ESR test receivers meet the requirements of commercial and military standards such as CISPR, EN, FCC and MIL. They can also be used to carry out four channel click rate measurements on household appliances in line with the CISPR 14-1 EMC standard.
Rohde & Schwarz has also upgraded its compact R&S BBA150 and R&S BBL200 broadband amplifiers. The R&S BBA150 family of amplifiers now covers new frequency bands from 9 kHz to 250 MHz and 80 MHz to 1 GHz, with up to 1 kW of power. The modular design of the amplifiers makes it possible to flexibly configure complete systems to meet user requirements. They are, for example, ideal for electromagnetic susceptibility (EMS) measurements in line with relevant standards in all commercial and industrial sectors. The R&S BBL200 broadband amplifiers deliver up to 10 kW of power in a frequency range from 9 kHz to 225 MHz. Liquid cooling makes the amplifiers compact and quiet. The have high output powers and are designed for continuous operation even under mismatch conditions. This makes them perfect for EMS measurements, for which high field strengths must often be achieved despite poor antenna matching.
Rohde & Schwarz will also present current upgrades to its comprehensive oscilloscope portfolio. The company will showcase its new high definition option for its R&S RTO and R&S RTE digital oscilloscopes, which increases their vertical resolution up to 16 bit. The R&S RTM digital oscilloscope now has an expanded FFT with its new spectrum analysis and spectrogram option. Featuring hardware-assisted implementation of this function for extremely fast analysis, operation oriented on that of spectrum analyzers and a waterfall function, the R&S RTM universal oscilloscope is ideal for EMI debugging applications when used with appropriate near-field probes. Visitors to the Rohde & Schwarz booth can also learn more about using the company's oscilloscopes for EUT monitoring.
The Rohde & Schwarz portfolio includes EMI test receivers and precompliance test receivers, highly sophisticated, harmonized system solutions, the appropriate test and analysis software and broadband amplifiers along with anechoic chambers made by the company’s partner, Albatross Projects. Rohde & Schwarz will present its EMC portfolio at EMV Stuttgart 2015 (booth 328, hall C2).
