Stellant Systems has developed microwave power modules (MPMs) and space-qualified NanoMPMs that combine their solid-state driver amplifier, micro-TWT, and power supply in one small, lightweight package. Stellant manufactures both the TWT and power supply and offers a wide range of standard products as well as custom solutions.
The MPMs are available in bands from 2 to 95 GHz with output powers from 40 to 200 watts. All MPMs are optimized for demanding defense applications that require small, lightweight, and environmentally-rugged, high-power microwave amplifiers. These MPMs are used in multiple UAV and manned airborne applications, as well as space, naval, and terrestrial systems.
Stellant’s power modules are not only designed to serve a prescribed function and market only and can also fulfill yet-to-be imagined or discovered needs.
K-Band Quad Space NanoMPM
Stellant Systems’ B3400H Series K-Band Quad Space NanoMPMs are state-of-the-art RF power amplifiers for use in satellite downlink applications, specifically designed to enable the next generation of software-defined satellites utilizing phased-array antennas for increased flexibility while on-orbit.
This product line delivers the ultimate performance in output power, linearity, efficiency, frequency bandwidth, size, and mass by leveraging the best of solid-state and TWT vacuum technology.
Utilizing a high-gain pre-distortion solid-state linearizer, wideband high-power mini-TWT, and proprietary compact NanoMPM EPC designs, the B3400H series bridges the gap between solid-state amplifiers and traditional space LCTWTAS.
The K-Band Quad Space NanoMPMs consists of four individual RF chains (linearizer + TWT) all driven by a common high-voltage electronic power conditioner (EPC).
