Roos Instruments Introduces Ultra-Low Phase Noise, CW Signal Sources from 25 MHz to 24 GHz

Roos Instruments is now shipping the single slot RI8586 24 GHz CW Microwave Source. The RI8586 is an ultra-low phase noise, continuous wave fast switching signal generator, tunable from 25 MHz to 24 GHz with 1 Hz resolution available in a single TIM (Test Instrument Module) slot.

This microwave source functions as a stand-alone instrument as well as a component of RI’s System RF (SyRf) Core technology with multiple RF ports to support seamless system integration with Cassini's signal sources and Test Set TIMs. Fast phase settling enhances the speed and accuracy of vector-calibrated VNA measurements, to cover any of the 5G and 6G frequency ranges as well as applications up to 110 GHz. Designed as a high volume production test tool, the RI8586 has a frequency switching speed of <500 μsec, a wide dynamic range, multi-port signal routing, and supports vector calibration to deliver high-fidelity power and phase control.
