Spinner Introduces Calibration Kit with 1.5-3.5 Connector Interfaces for Open, Short, Load Testing

SPINNER has introduced a 1.5-3.5 series calibration kit used for testing coaxial connectors used in the transmission of RF signals between base stations, remote radio heads (RRHs) and antennas. It features a successful design pioneered by the low-PIM 4.3-10 Series calibration kit but with smaller dimensions. While the 4.3-10 series is similar in size to a conventional type N connector, the 1.5-3.5 series is much smaller to meet the typical space requirements of the SMA series. It’s a logical extension of the connector family comprising of 4.3-10 and 2.2-5 connectors.

The robust and highly compact PIM-resistant design of the 1.5-3.5 calibration kit consists of a typical 1.5-3.5 flanged socket with four attachment holes that only require 15 x 9.7 mm or 12.7 x 12.7 mm of space. As a result, the 1.5-3.5 series, which is based on the SMA form factor, occupies about 47% less space than the 2.2-5 series and as much as 75% less than the 4.3-10 series.

This calibration kit is ideal for calibrating network analyzers in the lab. SPINNER's kit offers complete single-channel calibration of open, short, load testing for up to 13 GHz.
