Smiths Interconnect Offers a Line of Faraday Rotation Ferrite Isolators from 18 to 220 GHz

Smiths Interconnect, a designer and provider of technically differentiated electronic components, subsystems, microwave and radio frequency products, has developed the FBI Series, a line of full-band Faraday rotation isolators that have been specifically designed to meet a wide range of applications.

The isolators can enable broadband instruments and systems that require higher levels of isolation and lower phase variation across the waveguide band compared to waveguide junction circulators.

They are developed based on Millitech technology with a Ferrite type material and operate over full waveguide bandwidths from 18 GHz to 220 GHz. These Faraday rotation Ferrite devices are available in a wide range of input and output waveguide configurations and integrate a DC block that can be used in conjunction with a detector to measure power levels.
