Rohde & Schwarz, together with its subsidiaries SwissQual and ipoque, presented its latest developments in 5G and mobile network testing at LTE World Summit 2015. The integrated portfolio, from the radio access network to backhaul and the core, brings the advantage of solutions coordinated from network planning to optimization, benchmarking and operation able to provide insight into subscriber experience, all with the efficiencies of a single supplier with a global support network.
At LTE World Summit 2015 in Amsterdam, Rohde & Schwarz demonstrated solutions to test and monitor new features and services of LTE-Advanced/5G networks. Rohde & Schwarz and its subsidiaries SwissQual and ipoque offer a uniquely complete portfolio to help network operators, infrastructure providers and regulatory authorities plan, install, optimize and maintain their networks with a special focus on network and service quality.

- Broadband 5G radio access network (RAN) measurements in the millimeter-wave range
- Quality of service (QoS) and quality of experience (QoE) network and service benchmarking
- Video over LTE mean opinion score (MOS) quality measurements

At LTE World Summit 2015, ipoque released the R&S Net Sensor, an intelligent IP probe. R&S Net Sensor allows network operators and service providers to extract meaningful network traffic and subscriber behavior data and identify statistical trends both in mobile and fixed networks.
The R&S Net Sensor is the first ipoque product to be marketed under the Rohde & Schwarz brand. The Rohde & Schwarz corporate design now applies to all ipoque products, documentation, websites and trade fair exhibits, visibly demonstrating the company’s increased integration into the Rohde & Schwarz group. The strategic direction of the Leipzig based company remains the same and ipoque will continue to be the IP classification specialist within the Rohde & Schwarz group for the effective detection, classification and monitoring of network and subscriber traffic.
