u-blox has officially inaugurated two new offices in Japan and Greece. These two new offices will be located in Osaka - Japan and Athens - Greece. Both the offices will further strengthen u-blox chip design capabilities for short range wireless communications and allow high-level support to automotive and industrial industries in the regions.
The opening in Athens, follows the acquisition of the privately-held VC Antcor, a developer of Wi-Fi baseband intellectual property (IP) last year, and demonstrated u blox’s commitment to developing short range wireless technologies applied to the Internet of Things. The new facility in Athens is located on the top floor of a new building in the Maroussi region, which is known as a hub for high-tech companies. u-blox plans to double the current team in the coming months by attracting highly qualified software, IC and hardware engineers.
This is u-blox's second office in Japan. Since the foundation of u-blox Japan eight years ago, they have supported the southern-central region including Osaka from Tokyo. The office is Osaka will support the continued expansion of the business in the Kansai region moving them close to their customers. The office in Osaka is located at 31F, Twin 21 MID Tower, 2-1-61 Shiromi Chuo-ku Osaka-shi.
