AnaPico AG, a pioneer in developing, manufacturing, and providing cutting-edge RF and Microwave test & measurement instruments, has announced the launch of the APMQS20 high-performance frequency synthesizer. This instrument-grade flange-mount module covers a frequency range from 8 kHz to 20 GHz and generates an output power of up to 16 dBm.
Designed as a seamless replacement for the retired QuickSyn FSW-0020 frequency synthesizer by National Instruments, the APMQS20 ensures a smooth transition for QuickSyn users, guaranteeing uninterrupted and superior performance.
Key Features:
Low Phase Noise: With phase noise figures reaching -95 dBc/Hz at 100 Hz, -126 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz, and -130 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz from 10 GHz, AnaPico's APMQS20 stands unrivalled in its class.
Fast Frequency Switching: A game-changer in agility, the APMQS20 offers a rapid 20 μs switching time in list sweep mode.
Clean Signal Purity: Harmonics and spurious signals are minimized, achieving levels as low as -50 dBc and -70 dBc, respectively.
The APMQS20's versatility extends across a wide spectrum of applications. It serves as a precision system clock, a high-purity local oscillator for analog mixers and digital modulators, and a reliable microwave source for spectroscopic systems. Its rapid frequency-switching capabilities make it the preferred choice for fast-frequency hopping, radar signal generation, and mission-critical electronic warfare applications. Notably, former NI QuickSyn frequency synthesizer users now have access to an exceptional replacement that promises product availability and continuity without the burden of costly redesigns.
“Drawing from our extensive experience in developing high-performance frequency synthesizers, both in compact module and instrument forms and in response to the demands of NI QuickSyn module users seeking replacement and upgrades, we are thrilled to introduce this latest addition to our product portfolio,” commented Dr. Jakub Kucera, CEO of AnaPico AG.
The APMQS20 frequency synthesizer module is available for delivery starting October 2023.
