M-tron Industries, a leading designer and manufacturer of highly-engineered electronic components, has appointed Cameron Pforr as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective October 3, 2024. Pforr’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for MtronPTI, as the company continues to deliver strong financial performance and growth, particularly in the defense sector.
Strong Financial Performance Amid Growth
MtronPTI has been on an upward trajectory, with robust performance in 2024. The company has reaffirmed its positive fiscal year guidance, projecting revenues between $46 million and $48 million with EBITDA in the range of 19% to 21%. In Q2 2024, MtronPTI reported revenue of $11.8 million, a 16.4% increase compared to Q2 2023, alongside a 36.6% rise in net income to $1.74 million.
Strategic investments in the defense sector have been key drivers of this growth. MtronPTI continues to see strong demand across several defense programs, including missile systems, satellite platforms, manned spacecraft, and UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) initiatives, all contributing to significant expansion opportunities.
Leadership with a Vision
In his new role as CFO, Cameron Pforr will lead MtronPTI’s financial and investor relations functions, guiding the company's organic and inorganic growth strategies. With years of experience in corporate finance, business management, and mergers and acquisitions, Pforr is poised to contribute to MtronPTI's mission of becoming a top provider of radio frequency (RF) solutions, especially for the defense and aeronautics industries.

A Proven Leader in Technology and Finance
Cameron Pforr brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles. He most recently served as President and CFO at IronNet, Inc., overseeing operations and finance. Before that, he held executive positions at Fidelis Cybersecurity and WhipTail Technologies. With a strong track record in technology firms and government contracting, Pforr has a deep understanding of both the commercial and defense sectors.
His educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the College of William and Mary, an MBA from the Wharton School, and a Master’s in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
